If you were a flag...

Flags symbolize so much. They tell a story of a country's success and their battles for freedom. Some flags are worn. They have battle tears and holes. Some flags are replaced daily like at the US Capital. Some flags are discolored or worn because of neglect. I'm sure you've seen flags on buildings or homes that are torn, ripped or faded.

What if you were a flag? What would you look like? Would the material that you were made of be battle tested? Would you still be proud of what you stood for in spite of your condition?

Some people look new on the outside but torn and beaten down on the inside. Others show what they've been through and it's obvious they have been abused or neglected.

When you give your heart to the Lord you become a new creation in Christ. The torn flag is mended and repaired. God cares about your condition both physically and spiritually. Ask him to help you. Trust that he will.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
