I hate politics! I thought a few years back that I might want to get into the political scene but have since given up on any desire to do so. I have known some great politicians and some who are very selfishly motivated. I work in government and just want to do the best job I can. The last couple of years I have been attacked, lied about and the department has suffered. The citizens have suffered. I have been in public service for 28+ years and have for the most part enjoyed going to work every day. Now my joy for the job is damaged. I know I shouldn't let people get me down but sometimes I do. People run for public office for different reasons, some do it to make a difference while others who may start out that way get consumed with the attention they get and end up doing a dis-service to those they were elected to serve.
I am going through a difficult time right now and I ask for your prayers. Also, pray for our community, state and federal leaders. Pray that they will serve in a way that is pleasing to God.
We do not need politicians; we desperately need good leaders!

For some reason internet explorer and aol can't open your blog on my computer. I had to use Firefox to open it. Strange!

May God bless you and your family Jack. I understand how you feel about dedicating your life to public service just to have others try to cut you down for political gain. I keep reminding myself of Matthew 5:11-12. We will receive our rewards in heaven.

I will be praying for you nad your family. I do hope things get better for you...It sounds like you are very upset about it, and I hate to think that you are sad. I think you would be a wonderful working in politics!!! We need someone that is strong, truthful, caring, and someone who lives by God's word!!! It's very hard to find that. I plan on working for the Gov. I'm majoring in Homeland Security Criminal Justice. Lord help me..((SMILE)) Have a great day!!
Jackie....my BLOG would not open up last night for some reason aswell. My BLOG would come up.... and then a box would pop up stating that Internet Exp cannot open this site. This morning it opened up for me. I think the internet BLOG might be having some problems...((smile)) I'm not sure..if it continues with me...I'll contact BLOG.

i will remember you and your job in my prayers. i don't know your situation, but david is going through a rough time at his job also. it seems like, at his job anyway, that if you are a christian and stand up for what you believe in and don't take part in the lying, back stabbing and morally wrong things going on...your job is in jeopardy. i am sure you are totally innocent in your situation as well. even though my flesh tells me to go down there and tell them what for...i am convicted every time and am reminded that i am to pray for them and that god is in total control. i hope things get better for you.
