The Valley...

No matter how good your life may be, you will go through valleys or places where you feel you have hit rock bottom. When times are good we may forget we need God, but during trials and the tough times we cry out to the Lord for help. We need to realize that, it is because of God that times are good. It is because of his blessings that we enjoy good health, a good job and a great family life. So does God allow us to go through valleys to remind us of our need for him? Let me answer the question this way; God cares for you and desires you to walk in fellowship with him.

If you don't talk with your spouse, your marriage will fail. If you don't communicate with your employees your business will fail. If you don't pray and seek God then your relationship with him will suffer. A lot of the time we get sick because we don't take care of our bodies. We may get hurt because we did not use the proper safety precautions.

I do not believe God is to blame when we suffer, whether mentally or physically. It may be our fault or simply the result of the world we live in. Regardless of the origin of you being in a low place in your life, reach out to the Lord for help. Take the valley as an opportunity to renew your relationship with God. God does not want you to live in the valley; he desires to help you, to heal you and if needed... forgive you. Satan comes to destroy, God comes to rebuild. Satan wants you to suffer and stay in the valley; God wants you to be on the mountaintop.

I pray that anyone in a low place in their life will reach out to you Lord. It may not be their fault that they are hurting and because of this hurt they have lost faith in you. Maybe because of a bad decision they have found themselves in a valley. Regardless, Lord you are God and can do all things. Touch them Lord; remove their fear and take them back into your loving arms.

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
