Snow - Fun for Some - Not so Much for Others...

Winter snow is beautiful but even with something so pretty, pain and sadness can occur. These photos are of Scott County, Kentucky and were taken today. As with snow often things can appear on the outside as beautiful and good for us but later turn out to be anything but. A job offer, that new car or even people or relationships can turn ugly quick. A job offer may turn out to be less than rewarding. A new car may become a financial heartache. People who seem nice on the outside may only want a relationship with you to use or abuse you.

How do we avoid things that appear pure and beautiful but are not. Often we can just trust our gut and we will be fine. But, with things or situations that are considered big decisions we should seek God's direction. He will help you make the right decision. If you feel uneasy about what to do, then use caution and put it off for now. God will give you peace, without that peace... STOP, do not move forward. Trust the Lord, he will never let you down.

Good post:)

Was the driver of the truck OK??

There were actually two trucks involved in the accident. The front truck stopped to avoid a swerving car and the back truck then struck it. The driver of the rear truck was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

I like this post Jack. If we would just stop and pray about the decisions we need to make and move on them when we feel a peace about them we would have much less heartache in our lives. But we all just get a little impatient sometimes and learn the hard way.

Was this the accident that backed up 75 south on saturday?

Jack,
Good for us to consider these things. I would add, be sensitve to the Holy Spirit that is working in our lives to lead us and guide us. If we are listening, we will hear His voice and follow His instruction. We don't always get it right the first time, but He gives another chance.
Over and over again.....
Thank you Lord for that!

Be blessed today in all you do!

Thanks Gina, yes the photo was of the accident Saturday.

Karen you are so correct, the Holy Spirit will direct our path. Unfortunately we often either ignore his voice or harden our heart to it.

Angela,

The old saying "the grass is always greener on the other side" fits here. So often when I try to pity myself or start the "why me" game with God I am reminded of times when if I had actually got my way it would have been really bad for me. Many times we are so blinded by the lie that satan feeds us that we can not see what God has already blessed us with.
